The MAPS Summer Food Program starts today, May 31, and runs through August 3. These meals are free and available to all children 18 and under. Special diet meals are also available by contacting the Food Services Department (see graphic).

Jameson Cozad (left, MHS Class of 2019) and MHS senior Micah Cozad are smudging the room—a ceremony to clean the air—and giving thanks to the creator for all we have and all we have yet to achieve during the blessing Willard Yellowbird gives at the Indian Education Graduation Celebration held at the Moorhead High School Career Academy on Feb 10. Eleven Indigenous students will be graduating with the Moorhead Class of 2023 on May 26 at Nemzek Hall on the campus of MSUM.

Lake Parr makes a save as Girls Lacrosse battles St. Michael-Albertville at Jim Gotta Stadium on May 9. Trailing by as many as five in the first half, the Spuds tied it up shortly after halftime then went back and forth with the Knights before pulling out an 11-10 victory. It was Moorhead's first Girls Lacrosse victory over STMA in program history. Sydney Martinson led the Spuds with five goals, while Abby Kurpius scored a hat trick. Moorhead Schools' SLPs are a critical part of some students' learning journey, from helping to pronounce sounds correctly, to improving vocabulary knowledge & usage, to helping students organize their thoughts—and more. Things are changing quickly at the Moorhead High School construction site and we want to document the progress with the community. The installation of walls, windows and fixtures is starting to define the spaces throughout. The Commons are beginning to take shape, along with improvement in the Media Center.
