Fi Kjos returns a volley at the tennis matchup against Crookston. It was a close game where Coach Hutton stated they had four 3rd set matches in which they won two and lost two, losing the game by one. The Spuds travel to Becker and Monticello to play a doubleheader today.

Boys Lacrosse celebrates their overtime victory against Elk River at Jim Gotta Stadium on May 5. To cap off this thriller, Oliver Judd won the faceoff to start overtime, raced down the field and tallied the quick-strike game winner. Congratulations to the MHS Speech and Debate Team, which had 18 medalists—including four gold medalists—on the way to its seventh straight state title last week in Apple Valley! Way to go, Spuds!

Moorhead High School Seniors attended the annual MHS Awards Ceremony on April 26. Students were awarded a total of nearly $100,000 in scholarships, with the Moorhead Legacy Education Foundation providing over $80,000 in scholarships. Great job on all your hard work Seniors!

Madden Bogenreif gets a hit at the NDSU softball diamonds on Saturday, April 14, as the Spuds Softball team took part in a four-team triple header. Moorhead opened the day with a 16-1 win over Thief River Falls/Goodridge 16-1 in five innings. We are proud of Landon McDougal, MHS senior who took first place in the "Auto Careers, Painting & Timed Skills" category at SkillsFest at Ridgewater College in Willmar. SkillsFest is an annual competition for students to test their technical skills in everything from welding to photography. Congratulations Landon! #SpudPride 👏

Congratulations to the MHS Weightlifting Team for competing at the Minnesota State Weightlifting Championships! Team members Emily Stamm, Ryland Braton, and Brian Neuman won State Championships in their divisions. Kira Hegg and Osama Allawi placed fourth. Jack Stamm placed third. McKenzie Baker, Addison Melby, Domingo Mueller, Micha Cozad and Brooklyn Johnson placed second. Way to go Spuds!
