Moorhead's Kai Weigel stops one of the 37 attempts on goal in the game against Fargo Davies on Jan. 17. The Spuds got six by Davies, winning the crosstown matchup 6-1. Aaron Reierson scored two goals for the Spuds. Joe Kortan, Caleb Alderson, Parker Gast and Brooks Cullen each scored a goal for the team. Abby Kostohryz performs a split leap on the balance beam during the Moorhead Gymnastics Invitational held on Jan. 14. Her total combined scores from the beam, bars and floor put Kostohryz in first place for the all-around competition in the Black Division of the competition. Joseph Casey swims in the 500 Freestyle during the boys swim and dive dual against West Fargo on Jan 12. Casey took first in the race with a time of 5:16.39. Moorhead's Jack Olstad won the 182 weight class at the Gadberry Invitational on Jan 14. Nine teams competed in the all-day event. Moorhead won the team event with 140 points. Wrestling will take on Barnesville at their next home meet on Jan. 27. Photo Credit: Bill Grover. #GoSpuds

Moorhead High School graduate Amanda Frost is using her creativity to paint watercolor art of people’s homes. 🏡 "Frost’s house art has been her most popular pursuit, yet it’s only one aspect of what she does. She also paints stylized portraits of people and pets, screenprints shirts with a definite Gen-Z vibe, designs logos and posters, sews one-of-a-kind garments like patchwork pants and does fine art — all by maintaining a careful schedule on her ever-present planner."
