MHS students once again showed off their sidewalk art skills with Chalk-A-Palooza 2023! This year's theme was Video and Arcade Games. Needless to say, these artists all set a high score! 🎨☀️👾 #SpudPride


Maddi Hanson tees off during the Spuddy 6*6*6 Invitational tournament played at The Meadows on May 10. Moorhead's Olivia Roaldson and Haley Schue took second with a score of 78 and fellow Spuds Maddi Hanson and Olivia Dronen took third with a score of 83.

We are proud of Tate Danuser (tuba), Alexia Merkord (french horn), Parker Reburn (percussion), Addison Johnson (flute), Abigail Mackowick (trumpet) and Kaylee Peterson (bass clarinet) who were selected to play in the Minnesota Band Directors Association Honor Band and performed on April 22. Lake Parr makes a save as Girls Lacrosse battles St. Michael-Albertville at Jim Gotta Stadium on May 9. Trailing by as many as five in the first half, the Spuds tied it up shortly after halftime then went back and forth with the Knights before pulling out an 11-10 victory. It was Moorhead's first Girls Lacrosse victory over STMA in program history. Sydney Martinson led the Spuds with five goals, while Abby Kurpius scored a hat trick. Things are changing quickly at the Moorhead High School construction site and we want to document the progress with the community. The installation of walls, windows and fixtures is starting to define the spaces throughout. The Commons are beginning to take shape, along with improvement in the Media Center. Kellsey Klundt winds up her pitch during the game against Park Rapids held at Jim Gotta Stadium on the campus of Moorhead High School on May 4. Klundt pitched all five innings of the game giving up no walks, 2 hits, and struck out five batters. At bat, Klundt had 2 hits and 2 RBIs to help the team in their 10-0 victory over the Panthers. #GoSpuds

Fi Kjos returns a volley at the tennis matchup against Crookston. It was a close game where Coach Hutton stated they had four 3rd set matches in which they won two and lost two, losing the game by one. The Spuds travel to Becker and Monticello to play a doubleheader today.


Boys Lacrosse celebrates their overtime victory against Elk River at Jim Gotta Stadium on May 5. To cap off this thriller, Oliver Judd won the faceoff to start overtime, raced down the field and tallied the quick-strike game winner.
