Jameson Cozad (left, MHS Class of 2019) and MHS senior Micah Cozad are smudging the room—a ceremony to clean the air—and giving thanks to the creator for all we have and all we have yet to achieve during the blessing Willard Yellowbird gives at the Indian Education Graduation Celebration held at the Moorhead High School Career Academy on Feb 10. Eleven Indigenous students will be graduating with the Moorhead Class of 2023 on May 26 at Nemzek Hall on the campus of MSUM.

Lake Parr makes a save as Girls Lacrosse battles St. Michael-Albertville at Jim Gotta Stadium on May 9. Trailing by as many as five in the first half, the Spuds tied it up shortly after halftime then went back and forth with the Knights before pulling out an 11-10 victory. It was Moorhead's first Girls Lacrosse victory over STMA in program history. Sydney Martinson led the Spuds with five goals, while Abby Kurpius scored a hat trick. Things are changing quickly at the Moorhead High School construction site and we want to document the progress with the community. The installation of walls, windows and fixtures is starting to define the spaces throughout. The Commons are beginning to take shape, along with improvement in the Media Center. Klundt pitched all five innings of the game giving up no walks, 2 hits, and struck out five batters.
