๐พ Katryna Hansen placed second in the Section 8AA Individual Tournament and earned a spot in the State Tournament, which runs Oct. 25-28.
๐โโ๏ธ The girls swim and dive team placed second in the Section 8AA True Team Meet to earn a spot in the State Tournament as a wild card entry!
๐ The cross country team put five girls in the top ten and four boys in the top 15 at the Bemidji Invitational. Those individuals are Ava Dunnigan, Anna Nelson, Avery Marquardt, Ella Cole, Lauren Heneman, Austin Liebl, Jack Kupitz, Ethan Copeland and Hayden Leiser.
โฝ Boys soccer will play in the Section Tournament Championship game against STMA tomorrow at 7 p.m. The Spuds beat the Bemidji Lumberjacks 1-0 on Tuesday.

Earlier this month, our students took to the pavement on these new Strider bikes! The kids at Dorothy Dodds had a blast perfecting their balance as they raced around the track outside. Arlen Ness, a former Moorhead elementary student, died at 79. To honor him, Polaris Industries and others donated money to the Strider Foundation. Moorhead Area Public Schools was selected to receive a grant to purchase strider bikes for our schools!

The girls soccer team showcased their talent against Pelican Rapids. The Spuds defeated the Vikings 12-0. Kadyn Sharpe (#10) scored five goals, a career-high for the senior.

Arianna Hoff dives in to complete the final leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay. Moorhead battled the St. Michael Albertville Knights. The Spuds came out on top with the final score of 99-83.

Sarah Boock sets the ball for her teammates. The Moorhead volleyball team battled hard against DGF last week. After losing two sets to the Rebels, the team won the three final sets. The final score was 3-2.

Over 200 Spuds raced at the Perham Invitational! The varsity girls placed 4th against several top teams from across the state. The varsity boys raced to a hard-fought 5th place finish. All told, the students ran 57 seasonal best 5k times, 52 of which were lifetime bests!

Woodworking students at the MHS Career Academy learned hands-on about fire safety from Moorhead Chief Chad Stangeland. He talked about fire safety and taught students how to use a fire extinguisher. Thank you to the Moorhead Fire Department for providing our students with experiences and knowledge. They are now prepared in case of emergencies! #NationalFirePreventionWeek
