We just heard this heartwarming story… and we can’t help but share it! Before the holiday season began, teacher Chad Durand and his 4th grade students at Dorothy Dodds wanted to spread some kindness and cheer to others in the community. As many people know, our senior population that resides in nursing homes and assisted living facilities have faced many difficulties throughout the pandemic. Whether it be from restrictions or difficulty traveling, many have not been able to see their families and loved ones as much as they’d like, which is especially hard during the holiday season. Because of this, Durand’s students went to work writing letters and designing ornaments to send to seniors at Farmstead Living to brighten their day! Durand’s students were inspired by the feeling of helping others and couldn’t wait to give their gifts. One student truly described it best, “When you fill somebody else’s bucket, you also fill your own.” 🧡🖤 Our Spud students never fail to inspire us with their kindness and heart!
