Congratulations to Moorhead High School senior Mohamed Mustafa! 🏆 Mohamed won first place in the Escape the Vape contest, which raised awareness about the dangers of vaping. “Once I received the good news I was not very surprised since I was getting so much support from school staff and students. Big wins for seniors Jacob Kragero and Carter Norman! Both students recently competed at the Minnesota SkillsUSA competition and qualified for the national competition in June.

Students at Dorothy Dodds Elementary dropped everything and read on Tuesday! This national celebration reminds families to make reading a priority activity. Students picked a book to keep and got a surprise visit from Spuddy! 🥔

Congratulations to the Spud track team who competed at NDSU on April 2! The boys team took first place out of 13 schools with 153 points. 🏃 The girls team took third place out of 14 schools with 86 points.
A few highlights:
- Elinneus Davis heaved the shot put 50 feet 4 inches for second place and a personal best.
- Ella Cole finished the 3200 meter run in second place.
- Summer Lindquist placed second in the 200 meter dash.
- Isaac Martel placed first in the 3200 meter run, winning by almost one minute. #GoSpuds
Shout out to our speech team on their MAJOR win! Congratulations to the Spud team on winning their 27th consecutive section title over the weekend. Twenty-nine students will present at the State Tournament on April 22. #SpudPride
