The giving spirit in our community always warms our hearts! The entire district gathered over 17,000 cans for Fill the Dome. Congratulations to Student Council for planning and dedicating countless hours to this project. The High School and Career Academy collected nearly 5,000 cans. Robert Asp Elementary collected the second most at over 4,000 cans! #SpudPride #WeAreSpuds

Congratulations to MAPS team member Dave Lawrence! Dave was inducted into the Minnesota State University Moorhead Athletics 2022 Dragon Sports Hall of Fame. He was an outstanding defensive player for the Dragons in the 1980s. Dave had 75 solo tackles, 132 assists, and five pass interceptions during his career. He was ...

Notice for Moorhead Indian Education Program’s Annual Public Hearing
- When: December 5, 2022
- Time: 6-8 p.m.
- Where: Moorhead High School Career Academy

The public hearing is a meeting called by the Indian Education Parent Committee to inform the public about the Johnson O’Malley program. Results of the needs assessment are made available for review and comment. The public hearing is an opportunity for the Indian Education Parent Committee to get additional parent and community input to consider when developing the education plan.

The Spuds competed against the Blake Bears on Nov. 26. The girls hockey team was down by one with 36 seconds left to play in the game but came up short. The final score was 3-4. They play tonight against Elk River at 5:30 p.m.

Congratulations to Rebecca Meyer-Larson, one of only four high school instructors to receive a Spotlight Award at M State's annual professional development opportunity for high school concurrent teachers. Rebecca was recognized and celebrated in front of 150 colleagues and peers for her extraordinary work in the classroom and as a state-competing (and placing) speech coach.


The Moorhead Girls Swim and Dive team sends four swimmers to the state tournament. Three new school records were set at Sectionals, and Ava Rodgers, Abbie Ishaug, Alayna Janke and Arianna Hoff will compete at the state tournament. Congrats ladies! #WeAreSpuds
