Over the last two years, local auto shops, businesses and students pieced together this 1989 pickup truck. Senior Carter Norman redid the engine and feels proud to have been a part of this project.

Moorhead High School student, Jinu Lee, placed first in the American Mathematics Competition for the state of North Dakota! 🏆 He scored in the top 2.5% nationally, receiving a Certificate of Distinction from the AMC. Good luck to the boys hockey team! 🏒 The Spuds play in the section championship against Elk River tonight at 7 p.m. This marks the 22nd consecutive time that Moorhead has advanced to the championship game. They defeated the Brainerd Warriors in the section quarterfinals on Feb. 23 with a score of 7-0. They beat the STMA Knights with a score of 4-1 on Feb. 26. #GoSpuds

John Millea from the Minnesota State High School League presented shirts during a recent basketball game to honor MHS students. As part of their Fill the Dome Campaign, students gathered money and food to donate to the Great Plains Food Bank. This student council led campaign was recognized at the state level! #SpudPride

Bria and Ella Holm celebrate the lone goal shot by Bria during the Feb. 17 game against the Brainerd Warriors. Congratulations to the girls hockey team who played hard and made it to the section final this year! The team finished their season with a 5-4 lead over the Rams, advancing to the section final. The Spuds fell 1-2 against Brainerd.
The Moorhead boys swim and dive team just received their trophy from their Border Battle meet! The team placed 3rd against 15 teams across Minnesota and North Dakota on Jan. 8. Their next meet is Feb. 25 at Elk River High School! #GoSpuds

These need to remain free of vehicles to allow emergency responder vehicles easy access to the building. Vehicles parked in these areas will be ticketed by the Moorhead Police Department. All Moorhead public and non-public schools, including Community Education classes, are closed Tuesday, Feb. 22. Moorhead Area Public School students in grades E-12 and online students are required to complete an eLearning day. All before-school, after-school and evening activities are canceled.
