Congratulations to Rebecca Meyer-Larson, one of only four high school instructors to receive a Spotlight Award at M State's annual professional development opportunity for high school concurrent teachers. Rebecca was recognized and celebrated in front of 150 colleagues and peers for her extraordinary work in the classroom and as a state-competing (and placing) speech coach.

It’s time to Fill the Dome! Moorhead High School students are on a mission to collect as many non-perishable food items as possible. Each classroom will have a box to collect non-perishable food items. Let's help end hunger by filling the Fargodome.

The Moorhead Girls Swim and Dive team sends four swimmers to the state tournament. Three new school records were set at Sectionals, and Ava Rodgers, Abbie Ishaug, Alayna Janke and Arianna Hoff will compete at the state tournament. Congrats ladies! #WeAreSpuds

Moorhead public and non-public schools and buses will start two hours late on Nov. 10. There will be no morning Early Intervention Services, Jump Start or Community Education classes. Before-school activities are canceled.

Broadway star Becca Kotte is back in town to give Moorhead students advice as they approach the opening night of their musical, "Rock of Ages." Becca, originally from Fargo, is traveling the world performing on tour with Rod Stewart. She is in town for a short time before leaving to perform in London. 🏈Moorhead hosted the Alexandria Cardinals for the Region 8-5A Semi-finals. This game came down to the final seconds as the Spuds and Cardinals battled for their Section Finals spot. Moorhead led the entire game, but the Cardinals were only a touchdown away from tying the game up. With 20 seconds remaining, Alexandria made their fourth and final attempt for a touchdown. Abel Karfear intercepted the ball, blocking the attempt and returning the ball to the Spuds. They were victorious with a 35-28 win.

Moorhead High School staff hosted a student support event this past weekend! Students stopped by to get help with homework and prepare for future tests. Also, the Army National Guard provided donuts... which makes doing homework on a Saturday morning a bit sweeter! 🍩
