🌍💚 Happy Earth Day from Ellen Hopkins Elementary! 💚🌍
Today—and every day—we celebrate our beautiful planet by learning, exploring, and appreciating the world around us. Our students get to enjoy the great outdoors through physical education, recess, and exciting field trips that connect them with nature in meaningful ways.
From sunshine-filled adventures to hands-on learning, our students are growing into thoughtful stewards of the environment. 🌱☀️🌳

Years may have passed, but some connections never fade. Mrs. Hanson, now retired, reunited with her former student Elijah—who now works at the very same school where she spent so many years teaching—and the smiles say it all. A full-circle moment between a teacher who gave her heart and a student who never forgot. 🧡🤍🖤

Our kindergartners learned the importance of seatbelt safety today with Buckle Up With Bucky! 🚑✨

There are more pop-up food pantries taking place in partnership with the Great Plains Food Bank. If you or someone you now is experiencing food insecurity this spring, these food pantries require no referrals or qualifiers for the supplies distribution, which includes fruit, canned goods, fresh meat, and more. These are hosted at the Grace United Methodist Church in Moorhead, and the First Congregational United Church of Christ. See images for details.
