The FM Area Foundation has awarded Ellen Hopkins Elementary a grant from the Jan Welken Memorial Fund to support student activities. The 2024–2025 recipients are Amelia Finck and Elijah Ehrich, recognized for their positive attitudes, outstanding effort, and exemplary sportsmanship in Physical Education classes. They consistently demonstrate respect, responsibility, safety, and true Spud Pride throughout the school. This honor includes an activity scholarship to be used at Horizon Middle School for extracurricular programs during the 2025–2026 school year. Congratulations, Amelia and Elijah!

This Bike Distribution event is for current Ellen Hopkins students and will be based on availability of bikes, first come first serve. If you have a bike that needs repair, feel free to bring it and we will do our best to repair it! This event will follow their Free Food Pantry Distribution that is taking place from 5:15p-6:15p. If you come to the food pantry, please pick up your food and then feel free to park around back on the west side of the building. Enjoy a frozen treat as you wait! 🚲🛠️

Kindergarten Enrollment is OPEN!
Moorhead Area Public Schools will be providing summer meal access for all children 18 and under. Breakfast and Lunch will be available at select schools. Lunch will be provided in select parks daily. All meals must be eaten onsite and cannot be taken home. Meal times are set, please make sure that you arrive within the assigned times. In the event of inclement weather, park locations will close but school locations will continue to operate. Enjoy!

Summer Food Program details
The last day of school is Friday, May 30th 🎉 It’s a two-hour early release, so Ellen Hopkins students will be dismissed at 12:30 PM. Busses will drop off students two hours earlier than usual.
