Hard to believe, but the 100th Day of School is officially arriving Wednesday, February 11! We are so proud of how much our students have grown, and it’s time to celebrate this major milestone in style.
Want to join the fun? Here are three ways students and staff can participate:
👵 Go Gray! Dress up like you’re 100 years old. Think shawls, hair rollers, suspenders, fake mustaches, or even a little gray hair spray! Need inspiration? Check out 100th Day costume ideas on Pinterest.
👕 Get Crafty! Rock a DIY t-shirt decorated with 100 items (pom-poms, stickers, tally marks, or wiggly eyes). You can find supplies at Michael's or Amazon.
🏁 Pattern Play! Wear anything with a repeated pattern—stripes, polka dots, or plaid!
We can’t wait to see everyone’s creativity! Tag us in your photos so we can celebrate together! ✨ #100DaysSmarter #SchoolMilestones #CentenarianStyle

In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, elementary schools across the district hosted Drum & Dance events where Native American drummers and dancers from Moorhead High and Horizon Middle School—plus their own elementary classmates—visited and performed a set of traditional songs and dances. Each event was emceed by Matthew Johnson, the Indian Education Liaison for S.G. Reinertsen Elementary. For the final song of each show, the audience was invited to participate, leading to gyms full of Spuds dancing along to the beat of the drum. Many youngsters were even seen dancing out of the gym on the way back to their classrooms! #FoundationsForTheFuture
