Thursday, August 14th District Showcase (Located at the Career Academy) 3:00pm-6:00pm
This is an opportunity to connect with staff from your school, inquire about transportation, health services, and technology support. You will also be able to check out youth activities, complete Powerschool enrollment and learn about community partners - all while enjoying great food! Students/families who attend the showcase will be able to pick up their schedules.

🎒 We’re looking forward to welcoming students back on the first day of school — Tuesday, September 2, 2025! Let’s help our Spuds start the year strong, organized, and ready to learn.

School supply lists are attached for all K-4 grade levels.

We invite those in need of a backpack and school supplies to attend one of our backpack pickup events at the FARGODOME on:
• Wednesday, August 6, from 4:30–6 p.m.
• Thursday, August 7, from 4:30–6 p.m.
• Friday, August 8, from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.

Additional Important Information:

Backpacks are available for K-12 students in need who attend school in Cass or Clay counties.

Event will be a drive-thru format in the west parking lots of the FARGODOME.

Bring a form of ID for each child who will be receiving school supplies, such as a social security card, passport, school ID, insurance card, or report card.

Registration forms will be available at backpack pickup events – you do not need to complete ahead of time.

Wow, just wow! Thank you to all of the families and friends who pledged one or more of Dodds’ readers during the read-a-thon. You absolutely CRUSH our reading goal which earned students fun with inflatables in May! PJ Day is Friday the 28th! Additional dollars continue to support a book for every single student on their birthday (half birthdays for those in June, July, and August) thanks to Dorothy Dodds PTAC! That’s over 630 books in all! Thank you for continuing to support children’s love of literacy!

2/10 we celebrated the 100th day of school

100 DAYS SMARTER & KINDER Hard to believe we are nearing the 100th DAY OF SCHOOL on February 10th. Staff and students are invited to dress like a 100-year-old or wear something that represents “100.” Ideas include wearing stripes, hearts, polkadots, or attaching 100 pom-poms, wiggly eyes, Legos to a t-shirt. The creativity on this day in past years has been amazing!
