Our Turkeys are in Disguise! 🦃✨
This Thanksgiving, the turkeys need our help to avoid becoming the main course! Our clever kindergarten students were hard at work creating brilliant disguises for their feathered friends.
Each student used their creativity and imagination to turn their turkey into something entirely new. We have a Hulk, a superhero, a princess, and many more characters ready to blend in and escape the farmer.
The projects are now proudly displayed in our classroom and kindergarten hallways, and it's impossible to spot a real turkey among this creative crowd! We are so proud of the ingenuity and effort shown by all our young artists.

The annual "Fill the Dome" event in the Fargo-Moorhead area is a student-led food drive that benefits the Great Plains Food Bank. Donations collected during the event are distributed to local food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens to help community members in need.
Non-perishable goods can be brought to school any time starting Monday, November 17, to Friday, November 21.

We are excited to announce that Dorothy Dodds Elementary will once again be participating in the “Fill the Dome” food drive, with the help of our 4th grade student leaders! Between Monday, Nov. 17th and Friday, Nov. 21st, students are encouraged to bring in as many non-perishable food items as possible. These items will be donated to the community-wide food drive which helps to stock the Great Plains Food Bank.
We are super excited about this project; in previous years, Dodds’ families have been amazingly generous and our school has been one of the top in donations! We are hoping to have another successful year!! Our goal this year is to collect at least 3,000 non-perishable food items. The class that brings in the most food items will receive a donut party and the runners up will earn a bonus recess!!!
