
Things are changing quickly at the Moorhead High School construction site and we want to document the progress with the community. The installation of walls, windows and fixtures is starting to define the spaces throughout. The Commons are beginning to take shape, along with improvement in the Media Center. The baby chicks have arrived at Probstfield! After a weeks-long incubation period, the baby chicks began hatching last week and were transferred to a brooder—which gave the students something new to learn about in the process. 🐣🐥🐤 #SpudPride

Kellsey Klundt winds up her pitch during the game against Park Rapids held at Jim Gotta Stadium on the campus of Moorhead High School on May 4. Klundt pitched all five innings of the game giving up no walks, 2 hits, and struck out five batters. At bat, Klundt had 2 hits and 2 RBIs to help the team in their 10-0 victory over the Panthers. #GoSpuds

Fi Kjos returns a volley at the tennis matchup against Crookston. It was a close game where Coach Hutton stated they had four 3rd set matches in which they won two and lost two, losing the game by one. The Spuds travel to Becker and Monticello to play a doubleheader today.


Boys Lacrosse celebrates their overtime victory against Elk River at Jim Gotta Stadium on May 5. To cap off this thriller, Oliver Judd won the faceoff to start overtime, raced down the field and tallied the quick-strike game winner. Horizon Middle School student Claire Haberman was selected to be in the Minnesota Band Directors Association All-State Band. She was selected through an audition process and played in the band on April 15. Congratulations Claire, we are proud of your accomplishments! #SpudPride

Aaron Reierson winds up to pitch the ball during the game against Perham on April 24. Reierson scored the win for Moorhead, giving up one hit, no runs, and striking out eight batters and defeating the Yellowjackets 8-0. Spuds Baseball takes on Fargo Shanley tonight at Matson Field at 7:00pm.


Congratulations to the MHS Speech and Debate Team, which had 18 medalists—including four gold medalists—on the way to its seventh straight state title last week in Apple Valley! Way to go, Spuds!
