This week, students at Horizon West teamed up to assemble hygiene kits for families affected by the hurricane Helene in North Carolina. They collected essential items like soap, toothpaste, and other daily necessities to bring comfort and support to those in need.

In the highly anticipated game on October 11, the Spuds opened strong with a 22-yard pass to start the scoring. After a back-and-forth battle, MHS kept the pressure on with standout plays, including a 48-yard pass to tie the game in the first quarter and a clutch 44-yard pass in the third.
The Spuds took the lead in the fourth quarter with a 16-yard touchdown pass and a successful two-point conversion, making the score 36-27. Despite the Cardinals closing the gap late, the Spuds showed incredible determination, holding on for a 36-34 victory.
