CELEBRATING 150 YEARS: The MHS Spud volleyball team, whose head coach was Karin Schumacher, won the MSHSL State Championship on November 12, 1988. The Spuds won the Region 8AA tournament without losing a set. 🏐#OnceASpudAlwaysASpud
On May 6, Moorhead Orchestra students in grades 6-12 held an All-City Orchestra concert in the MHS gymnasium. The performance featured individual group sets, culminating in a joint performance where all the orchestra students played a song together. #OnceSpudAlwaysASpud

MHS senior Addie Loerzel, and advocate for students with disabilities, secured a $1,000 Heartwarming Project grant. Her Functional Living Skills class, chose Down Home and the Spuds Closet as recipients. Carter Heinsch smashed a second-inning home run and Cullen Wilson spun a complete game on the mound as the Spuds sprang a 9-4 upset on the Skippers, who came into the season ranked #3 in Class AAAA by MN Baseball Hub. A recent project by an MHS Career Academy art class was to create one of a kind tic-tac-toe boards. They invited JumpStart students to a tic-tac-toe tournament, adding a creative twist to the game. #OnceASpudAlwaysASpud
On April 5, the Spuds Speech Team clinched victory at the 8AA Sections tournament for the 29th year in a row. With a seven-year streak as State Champions, twenty-six Spuds secured a spot for the state tournament in Shakopee this weekend, aiming for an eighth championship.
