Two Moorhead High School students auditioned and made the 2021-22 Minnesota All-State Orchestra. Congratulations to Carter Andreasen and CJ Moore on this amazing accomplishment. 👏 The MN All-State Orchestra is comprised of the top orchestra students from around the state of Minnesota.

Congratulations to Abdifatah Elmoge. Abdifatah has been selected to attend the MN Boys State Convention through the American Legion Auxiliary this summer at St. John's. He is excited to learn more about how government works at the local and state level.
Congratulations to Isaac Kuck and Finnley Schiltz. Isaac and Finn were selected to attend the regional Rotary Youth Leadership camp this summer at the University of Minnesota Crookston. We are excited to see future SPUD leaders receive this opportunity.
Congratulations to Moorhead High School senior Mohamed Mustafa! 🏆 Mohamed won first place in the Escape the Vape contest, which raised awareness about the dangers of vaping. “Once I received the good news I was not very surprised since I was getting so much support from school staff and students. I would say I was more relieved. It's nice to see that level of support within our school environment!” Mohamed stated. #SpudPride
Big wins for seniors Jacob Kragero and Carter Norman! Both students recently competed at the Minnesota SkillsUSA competition and qualified for the national competition in June.

Congratulations to the Spud track team who competed at NDSU on April 2! The boys team took first place out of 13 schools with 153 points. 🏃 The girls team took third place out of 14 schools with 86 points.
A few highlights:
- Elinneus Davis heaved the shot put 50 feet 4 inches for second place and a personal best.
- Ella Cole finished the 3200 meter run in second place.
- Summer Lindquist placed second in the 200 meter dash.
- Isaac Martel placed first in the 3200 meter run, winning by almost one minute. #GoSpuds

Swing batter batter ⚾ Spuds baseball scrimmaged at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis last week! This unique opportunity was set up by Spuds coach Greg Salvevold and East Ridge Raptors coach Brian Sprout. Brian and Greg were teammates on the FM Redhawks almost 20 years ago! The Spuds first official game is in Sartell against the Sabres on April 7. #GoSpuds
Our speech team is spectacular! 🗫 We hosted the Northern Lights National Qualifiers competition on March 18. Fourteen of our speech students qualified for Nationals! They will compete June 12-17 in Louisville, Kentucky. #SpudPride
