There will be no school for Moorhead students on Monday, Feb. 20. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

All Moorhead public and non-public schools, including Community Education classes, are closed Feb. 15. Moorhead Area Public School students in grades E-12 are required to complete an eLearning day. All before-school, after-school and evening activities are canceled.

Moorhead public and non-public schools and buses will start two hours late on February 15. There will be no morning Early Intervention Services, JumpStart or Community Education classes. Before-school activities are canceled.

Bria Holm celebrates after giving Moorhead a 2-1 lead during the semifinal round of the Section 8AA girls hockey tournament on Feb. 11. The Spuds defeated Brainerd, the team that ended their season last year, in a 2-1 nail-biter that saw the Spuds down by one going into the third period. Holm was assisted by Ella Holm and Taylor Brueske. Bria also scored the first goal of the game. Moorhead plays Roseau on Feb. 15, which will determine if they go to state.

Moorhead graduate Bryce Schaefer's job is out of this world. 🪐 Bryce works for a company that launches satellites into Earth's orbit. After graduation, Bryce attended school to become an aerospace engineer. Since 2020, Schaefer has flown five LauncherOne missions. Since 1991, she has served as a language arts teacher, theatre director and speech coach at Moorhead High School. She has led the Spuds speech team to the MSHSL state championship in five of the last six years, and overall she has coached 29 individual state champions and 232 medalists. #SpudPride
