Golf Announcement: Starting on MONDAY 4/19 We will be changing the days you have practice. The Meadows has the following golf teams practicing at their facilities - MHS Boys and Girls Varsity Teams, MSUM and Concordia Women's Teams and Our Middle school team. We have 41 students out for golf and there is no room for all of us to practice every day along with the other groups and the paying public. So starting next week our team will alternate days of practice: 8th grade will practice Monday, then Tuesday will be the 7th grade and we keep alternating every other day from then on. Easier way to remember it, 8th grade will practice on all odd days and 7th grade will practice on all even days. If you need to switch groups for ride purposes or any other reason, that will be allowed. Tournament update - Monday's tournament is canceled, so we will get out the information for next Thursday's tournament next week.

Listen to the virtual School Board meeting tonight at 6 p.m. A recording will be posted following the meeting. Under Minnesota Statutes 13D.021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school board has determined to limit public attendance at School Board meetings to 10 people, as set forth by the CDC and MDH until further notice.

Horizon Middle School East Math Teacher, Dianna Christianson, is inspired by Katherine Johnson.
Dianna says, “I love that she started out her career as a math teacher. When she was first hired by NASA, she was a "computer" making manual calculations mostly from data from the black boxes of planes. But her curiosity is what helped her move up in her job. (I think this is so important for students - always ask questions!) She later used geometry skills to figure out the trajectory for astronauts to orbit Earth and land on the moon.” #WomensHistoryMonth
