Having fun with Games to Go at Ellen Hopkins! 😝

Our Kindergarten classes took a field trip to the NDSU Livestock Barns. They had a blast!

Ellen Hopkins EXCEL students had a special visit from Dr. Graeme R.A. Wyllie! In addition to him being a chemistry professor, Dr. Wyllie also heads up the Concordia Science Academy, a science outreach organization dedicated to providing students from elementary school on up with a positive science experience, one that is both educational and entertaining!

Our final book fair of the year is May 9th and May 10th after school from 2:40-6 p.m. in the Orange Gym.
Everything is Buy One, Get One Free, which makes this a great opportunity to stock up for summer reading.
(This book fair is after-school only. Students will not be shopping during the school day.)

It’s a beautiful day at Ellen Hopkins Elementary! ☀️🐞

There are so many outstanding music accomplishments and more to come next week! These students auditioned and were chosen to be a part of the American Choral Directors Association of Minnesota's 4th-6th Grade Honor choir. 🎵 There were over 340 students who auditioned across the state. Congratulations Spuds! #SpudPride

Today a Paramedic from Sanford came to teach Kindergartners about being safe in a car. We learned the importance of buckling up every time, riding in the back seat until age 13, and using a booster seat so that seat belts fit just right. We also got to take a walk through the ambulance. It was a great time!

🔶REMINDER🔶 There will be no school for Moorhead students from Friday, April 15 - Monday, April 18. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 19.
