Our whole school celebrated Kindness month in March.
Our 4th graders are working on building their state commercials as part of their research project.
Hopkins is a fun place to learn! Look at the fun way our kindergarten student is working on their sight words.

This week, third grade artists are learning about the largest organism in the world, Pando, a giant grove of aspen trees! After being inspired by our friend Pando, students created a grove of aspens of their own and then painted them with watercolors. We added a final touch of salt science with absorption to create an awesome starry effect in the background of our projects... all in 1/2 an hour! These are some seriously awesome masterpieces. -Ivy Mattson, Art Teacher

During the month of April, the students at Ellen Hopkins focused on Kindness. We celebrated by playing kindness BINGO. We are so proud of our students at Hopkins!
The Hopkins PTAC is an important support to our students and staff. We are in need of new board members and event leads for the 2021-22 school year. Grab a friend and be co-chairs of the Bookfairs, Family Fun Night, Spud Splatter Run, Glow Dance or join the board! It is a great team to join and a great way to support our school.
Welcome back Ellen Hopkins! We hope you enjoyed your Spring Break! Remember to call the office to notify the school of any student absences. Thank you!

March was a great month of showing our love of reading! We celebrated a week of Read Across America and then all got to shop at the book fair for new books! Thanks to the Hopkins PTAC for giving all students a book from our book fair!
3rd Grade Readers all picked a topic to "read around" and picked their own way to show their work. A great display of learning!
