
All Moorhead public and non-public schools, including Community Education classes, are closed April 5. All before-school, after-school and evening activities are canceled.
The make-up day for this storm day will extend the school year one day. Tuesday, May 30 will become the last student day for the school year.

Reminder: All Moorhead public and non-public schools will dismiss 2 hours early April 4. There will be no afternoon Early Intervention Services and JumpStart. Afternoon and evening Community Education classes and after-school and evening activities are canceled.


Due to the timing of the scheduled snow event, we are planning to hold school tomorrow, April 4 with a two hour early release to get students home before the wind picks up. Please stay tuned for further weather announcements.

Bravo! Bravo! 👏 👏 Students at Ellen Hopkins got an early preview of the Seussical musical performance today and it was spectacular! Showtimes this weekend are Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 2pm and 7pm, and Sunday at 2pm at Ellen Hopkins Elementary in the gym. Tickets are $5 at the door. You won't want to miss this!





Meet the new principal at Ellen Hopkins Tiffany Nagel! Mrs. Nagel has worked at Moorhead Area Public Schools for the past six years as assistant principal at S.G. Reinertsen Elementary. She has held various roles in education over the past 22 years and we are excited to have her join Hopkins for a new one!

The date for World Down Syndrome Day being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. This week our PTAC gifted EVERY CHILD with a book from the book fair! It was a great way to continue celebrating reading during Read Across America!



All our students worked to earn enough Spud Pride tickets for listening, kindness, being respectful, responsible and safe. Now all classes are getting an extra STEM time with Mrs. Martin in the media center!
