Every year, two 4th grade students are chosen by the Ellen Hopkins Phy Ed teachers to receive the Jan Welken Award, an activity scholarship to be used in middle school. These students are chosen for their positive attitude, tremendous effort, and sportsmanship during Phy Ed class. They are consistently respectful, responsible and safe in the gym and show spud pride in all areas of school. Congratulations Nibwahkah and Thalia! 🎉👏👏
