Save money on your water bill and protect the Red River's water quality by making and painting your own 55 gallon rain barrel. This two day workshop includes a short presentation about the basics of water quality, the effects of stormwater runoff and step by step building of a rain barrel. Participants will prime their rain barrel the first day and paint and build their rain barrel the second day. Rain barrels will be available to pick up on an appointment basis the following week to allow for drying time. Wear clothes you don't mind painting in and dress for the weather. Cass and Clay County residents may be eligible for partial reimbursement of fee; information will be available upon completion of the workshop. Please note: Cass County Tree Storage does not have an address. The Red River Valley Fair Association is the closest address to this building, which is 1805 Main Ave. W., West Fargo. We will dive into everything asparagus from choosing planting sites, looking at varieties, and expanding your knowledge of seed versus crowns.
