Resilient Yard Series: Make Your Own Compost Tumbler Workshop! Create a resilient yard to sustain the Red River by making your own compost tumbler. In addition to building your own compost tumbler to take home, this workshop includes a presentation to learn the basics of composting and how to construct various composting systems. Come prepared to carry home an empty 55-gallon compost tumbler. Fee includes supplies. Bring a drill (corded or cordless) and 1/8”, 3/8”, and 5/32” bit to class if you have them. Instructors will have several drills and bits for participants to share.

NEW Nitro-X Camp (7th & 8th Graders) Nitro-X camp is designed for middle school students and offers students the opportunity to explore careers in transportation through hands-on activities with radio controlled (RC) cars. This includes learning about how vehicles work, building their confidence with technical skills, working in teams to develop life and employ-ability skills, gaining exposure to industry and showing off their RC skills with a race. Wednesday, March 8, is a late start day. Buses and classes for Moorhead Area Public Schools K-12 will run two hours later than the normal schedule. Preschool students will continue with their regular schedule.
The Moorhead Track Club (K-2nd) is an opportunity for elementary students to learn the fundamentals of track and field. Grades K-2 students will learn correct running mechanics, hurdling, softball throwing and the long jump.
