Ella was working all week on completing her work and earning a certain prize that she picked out. At the end of the week, someone had taken the prize off of her teachers desk without asking. Instead of letting it ruin her day, Ella was able to show flexibility and pick out a new prize that was not as desirable as the one she wanted. Nova deserves to be Asp Spud of the Week because of her KINDNESS! Nova is a kind friend to everyone she meets! She shows kindness to others by always offering her help, if needed. She shows kindness to our school by cleaning up trash and making sure it is a clean & safe place to learn. Nova shows kindness to her self by ALWAYS trying her best on her school work, participating during learning time to soak up as much information as possible, AND by understanding that it is OKAY to make mistakes. Wow-- Emma has been a fabulous leader to start off 2nd grade! She has been doing a great job with following directions independently. Emma always knows to check the "To Do List" if she is unsure of what to do during an independent work time. Kaison showed amazing patience when his computer didn't work the first time we used them, but then on the second day when it didn't work again!. He stayed positive and knew that we would get it working as soon as we could. He works hard every day and is a great example for his peers in following the classroom and school rules.
