Friday night brought total dominance on our home turf, and Sunday brought national TV lights! The Moorhead Spuds rolled to a big 42-26 home-opening victory over Woodbury to stay undefeated at 2-0 on the season and the excitement didn't stop when the game ended!
FRIDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS:
⚡ Electric Opening: Gopher commit Zak Walker set the tone instantly, taking the opening kickoff all the way to the house for a touchdown!
🎯 Dynamic Duo: Minnesota commit QB Jett Feeney connected with fellow commit WR David Mack for a 40-yard TD strike! Mack led the receiving corps with 5 catches for 76 yards and a score.
🔨 Turnover Machine: Jaxon Lewis delivered a massive hit to force a fumble, allowing the Spuds to pounce on the ball and regain possession!
🚀 Taye Reich Show: Reich was completely unstoppable, powering through for a wild 78-yard touchdown run AND hauling in a 27-yard TD pass from Feeney!

🏈 SPUD FOOTBALL IS BACK! 🏈
Grab your orange and black, bring the energy, and get ready for Friday night lights at the stadium! We’ve got big plays on the field, delicious bites on the sideline, and a few key updates to make sure your game day is seamless from kickoff to the final whistle.
Here is what you need to know before you head to the gates:
🍔 Spud Alley: Head over to the street space between MHS and the stadium before the game for food trucks, vendors, and the Unity Council Tailgate!
🎟️ Tickets & Passes: Save time at the gate! Grab your single-game tickets ($8 Adults / $6 Students) or full season passes online ahead of time, or tap/swipe your card at the South or West entrances.
📣 Middle & Elementary Expectations: All PreK–8th grade students must enter with an adult. Elementary students need to hang out with their parents during the game, while 7th & 8th graders can sit with their adult or turn up the energy in the **Orange Hole** section!
Park in the East or West lots, enter through the South (Main) or North gates, and bring the noise!

With enrollment remaining steady, this year's theme is “Spotlight on Success”, celebrating every student's journey in academics, the trades, athletics, and the arts.
🎉 What’s new this year?
• 482 kindergartners started their learning journey.
• The 12th grade is our largest class with 668 seniors!
• Phase 2 of Moorhead High School is fully complete, opening brand-new fine arts classrooms and a state-of-the-art theater for students on Day 1! 🎭🎶
