What happens if only one ballot question passes?

❎ If one question passes and the other fails, funds from the approved levy can't be shifted to cover the needs of the failed levy.
➡️ If one fails, the district would need to move forward with some budget reductions.

🏫 Passing just one levy would provide some support for our schools, but would also leave financial gaps. Together, the two levies provide a balanced and comprehensive plan to stabilize our budget and protect education.

Reagan is a #sgrspudoftheweek because he has been caught multiple times being extremely kind and helpful in the classroom! A few examples would be playing with another kiddo that was playing alone and helping him build a cool tower in the block center; and also helping a friend pick up her markers when she dropped her pencil box. It is so great to see Reagan being kind to his classmates on his own, without being asked by adults- way to go Reagan! #SpudPride

The district has worked carefully to ensure the proposed referendum will provide long-term value to students, staff, and residents.

1️⃣ If the operating levy is approved: A home with a median value of $250,000 in the district would see a property tax increase of $18.91 per month starting in 2026.

2️⃣ If the capital projects levy is approved: It would add a monthly tax increase of $4.83 per month, starting in 2026, for a total of $23.74 per month if both questions are approved.

Student safety is a priority for Moorhead Area Public Schools. The two questions on the ballot on November 4 will work together to continue to ensure the safety of all Spuds for years to come.
