Lake Parr makes a save as Girls Lacrosse battles St. Michael-Albertville at Jim Gotta Stadium on May 9. Trailing by as many as five in the first half, the Spuds tied it up shortly after halftime then went back and forth with the Knights before pulling out an 11-10 victory. It was Moorhead's first Girls Lacrosse victory over STMA in program history. Sydney Martinson led the Spuds with five goals, while Abby Kurpius scored a hat trick. Things are changing quickly at the Moorhead High School construction site and we want to document the progress with the community. The installation of walls, windows and fixtures is starting to define the spaces throughout. The Commons are beginning to take shape, along with improvement in the Media Center. To cap off this thriller, Oliver Judd won the faceoff to start overtime, raced down the field and tallied the quick-strike game winner. Madden Bogenreif gets a hit at the NDSU softball diamonds on Saturday, April 14, as the Spuds Softball team took part in a four-team triple header. Moorhead opened the day with a 16-1 win over Thief River Falls/Goodridge 16-1 in five innings.
