On December 7, Horizon East's 7th and 8th grade Honor Band embarked on their holiday tour, spreading musical joy at various locations around the metro. The Honor Band performed at Serenity Assisted Living in Dilworth, West Acres Mall and Probstfield Elementary. #OnceASpudAlwaysASpud

6th grade scientists used food items to model four different types of plate interactions. They have been attempting to figure out what is causing Mt. Everest to grow about 2 cm/year and move about 4 cm/year. Cool whip, tortillas and graham crackers were aids in the learning!

After reading about the Voyagers, students attempted to carry a backpack filled with 45 pounds of weights. They realized this was nothing compared to the 180 lbs.
