Every first Thursday of the month, lunch menus throughout the Moorhead Area Public School district feature proteins and produce sourced from farms and ranches in Minnesota. All Moorhead public and non-public schools, including Community Education classes, are closed February 27. Moorhead Area Public School students in grades E-12 are required to complete an eLearning day. All before-school, after-school and evening activities are canceled.

Horizon West Students and Staff raised $1800 to donate for Giving Hearts Day! Thank you parents and students who donated your pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars to help us raise this tremendous amount of money to benefit our Moorhead community.
Sixth grade scientists investigated questions about hailstones. They used hail from the July storm in Moorhead to find out more about how high it will bounce, how hard it is to break, and what hail tastes like!
