School starts on Monday, Aug. 29. The last day of school is Friday, May 26. See below for an overview of no school days and PLC late starts. The first day of school is before Labor Day to allow additional time and flexibility needed for the ongoing construction on Moorhead High School. The last day of school and graduation are the same day. Because school ends on Memorial Day Friday, Moorhead Area Public Schools is trying something new so families can celebrate graduation and then enjoy the long holiday weekend and start of summer vacation.

Late Starts - PLC
There will be late starts again this year to accommodate professional development for our team. See below for more information. Each school will begin two hours later than normal on the specified dates below.

What is a PLC Late Day? These days will function the same as a late start day due to weather. All schools will begin two hours later than their normal start time. These late start days are used for teachers to participate in professional development through professional learning communities (PLC) in their subject areas. Professional development days sometimes cover more general education, PLC relates to their specific areas of teaching. *JumpStart will not follow late start days.*
