The doors of Moorhead High School’s new theater will open this November with a rock ’n’ roll celebration as Moorhead High School Theatre presents GREASE, the iconic musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.

Set in 1959, GREASE brings audiences to Rydell High, where the Pink Ladies, the T-Birds, Sandy Dumbrowski, and Danny Zuko navigate teenage romance, friendship, rebellion, and the challenges of fitting in. With its unmistakable 1950s style and rock ’n’ roll spirit, the musical captures the humor, heart, and growing pains of high school life.

This production marks a significant milestone for Moorhead High School Theatre: GREASE will be the first production staged in the school’s new theater, giving students and community members a new space in which to experience live performance.

“We’re excited to begin this new chapter in a space that will serve our students and community for years to come,” said director Rebecca Meyer-Larson. “Opening our beautiful theater with GREASE feels especially fitting. It’s a story about teenagers figuring out who they are and where they belong, set to music that has stood the test of time.”
