Moorhead Area Public Schools (MAPS) is excited to announce the grand opening of the Moorhead High School theater and Phase 2 construction. Phase 2 of the multi-year project marking the final completion of the five-year high school transformation includes a state-of-the-art theater, fine arts gallery, music classrooms and additional performing arts spaces.
The community is warmly invited to attend the Moorhead High School Theater and Fine Arts Grand Opening Event on Tuesday, August 18, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Moorhead High School. Join us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. in the main commons, followed by a “Spotlight on Success” self-guided interactive tour of the new cutting edge Theater, fine arts classrooms, gallery, music classrooms, black box theater, scene shop, and student performances.
The community is also invited to join us for "Find Your Light," a spectacular alumni showcase celebrating five decades of MHS performing arts history and inaugurating Moorhead High School's brand-new theater at 7:00 p.m. Experience an unforgettable evening as returning stars honor our rich history and light the way for the next generation of performing arts.
Tickets to the evening showcase are free (General Admission) with an optional donation at checkout to support MHS fine arts programs. Due to limited seating capacity, tickets are required and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
