Though Phase 1 of the new Moorhead High School opened on January 4, finishing touches continue to be installed inside the space. Here's your look at what's new since the building opened.

Two of the most noticeable new installations are the acoustic panel displays in the new gymnasium. The west wall features a “HOME OF THE SPUDS” design while the east wall has a “ONCE A SPUD ALWAYS A SPUD” collage with photos that pay tribute to the history and success of Spud athletics through the years.

In March, the pool’s design was completed with the Spuds team stripe wrapping all the way across the room’s south and west walls.

Less than a month after the building’s first day, the new media center opened for student use after crews moved every single book and shelf from the old MHS to the new location.

Doors for Spuddy’s Store in the commons were installed in late March as the store prepares to sell Spud merchandise in the near future.

The academic neighborhoods branding has been installed. Each wing now features an acoustic panel mural on display in the two story neighborhood commons. The artwork reflects the color and the theme for each of the three wings—River, Forest and Prairie. Not only does this add color and visual appeal, it helps students with wayfinding throughout the building.
