On January 4, MHS Students and Staff will move into Phase 1 of the new Moorhead High School! Moorhead Area Public Schools (MAPS) is giving the public a first look at the new space on Sunday, December 17, with the Academic Wing Preview event.
Guided tours of the Learning Neighborhoods, Main Commons and adjacent areas will be given between 2 and 4 p.m. Tour guides from MAPS, Zerr Berg Architects and Gehrtz Construction will share interesting details and fun facts about each of these areas.
Tour groups will depart in 10-minute intervals from the Main Commons. Community members are encouraged to reserve their time slot on the MAPS ticketing website as the district is anticipating high interest in this event.
The event will also feature student performances from the Apollo Strings, MHS Carolers and MHS Jazz Band. "Once a Spud Always a Spud" merchandise celebrating the district's 150th anniversary will be available for purchase during the event. Throughout the afternoon, Spuddy will be available for photos in the Main Commons.
Parking will be available in MHS' east lot (near the Sports Center) with shuttles running continuously to the event entrance.
