Principal Message

SGR Families,

Skol Vikings! As we write this we can’t help but wonder and hope how the big Vikes game against the Pack will go this afternoon. Fingers crossed it goes well for us Viking fans! Our notes for the week:

  • Picture Day - School pictures will be taken this week at school on Thursday, September 15, in the morning. If you’d like to order photos, please complete either the online option or the paper copy that was sent home. Make up dates will be announced at a future time

  • Tardiness - We’ve started tracking student tardies for all students arriving later than our start time of 7:45 am. Morning drop off has seemed pretty smooth, so hopefully that continues and we’re able to keep getting everyone here on time!

  • Picking up students early - Lobbyguard has been working well, and we appreciate everyone remembering to bring their license or ID in with them if they are picking up early. Thanks for helping us keep your kids safe!

  • Milk/Snack - We provide the opportunity for all students to have a milk/snack break. You can choose to either send a snack from home or purchase from the school, with the cost $0.50 for each at school. Quick Note - Students can only choose milk or snack from school IF you have given permission. Please print, complete, and return to school the attached form, or email food service directly at the attached link.

  • Spud of the Week - Our staff is always on the lookout for students doing great things and following our 4 BEs. We’ll call home for all nominations, but if we can’t reach you or leave a voicemail we’ll send an email. We’ll also take a picture of your child for the TVs in school and give them a special wristband. We love recognizing students make great choices as we work together to be AWESOME everyday!

We’ve said it a couple of times already, but we just can’t say it enough - Thank you for everything. It has been a great two weeks to start the year and we appreciate partnering with you to make it successful!
