Principal Message

SGR Families,

It was an AWESOME first day of school! We hope you and your child feel the same way. We promise to try and limit the number of emails we send, but we did have a couple of notes we wanted to share today, rather than waiting until next Sunday:

  • First, we are back to using LobbyGuard in the office at all district buildings, including at SGR. This means you NEED to have a valid driver’s license or state issued ID card IF you are picking up your child early (before 2:30 pm, whether for an appt, a trip out of town, or in case of illness) or if you are coming into the building (lunch, volunteering in the classroom, etc). You do not need to worry about having a license or ID if you are dropping off a child late or attending an IEP meeting in our conference room. Our recommendation? Just have it with you always!

  • Second, if you come to SGR to have lunch with your child, you can bring in lunch or get a school lunch. School lunch is $4.45 for adults. If you choose to eat school lunch, you need to get a lunch ticket from the office. Exact cash or check only, as we don’t have any change. If you only have $5/10/20 bills, the extra will be deposited into your child’s account. Unfortunately, we cannot use your child’s account to pay for adult lunches.

  • Finally, we do NOT serve any pork at school. Hot dogs, pepperoni, ham, etc are all beef, turkey, or chicken.

Thanks again for your help, patience, and support as we start another great school year! Have an awesome day!

Mr. St. Louis and Mrs. Nagel, principals
