Happy Giving Hearts Month!
Our Monthly Theme: LOVE
This month we will continue focusing on the Grandfather Teaching of love and kindness. This theme fits nicely into the many ways we are focusing on kindness and giving to others this month.
Feb 7-11 is KINDNESS WEEK at SGR! We will be spreading love through kindness in many different ways this week.
Art, Music and PE classes will be competing in a Kindness Challenge to see which class sprinkles the most kindness around themselves and others. Mr. St. Louis and Mrs. Nagel will be secretly deciding which class is the winner this week!
Some students started the Kids Heart Challenge (formally known as Jump Rope for Heart) on Monday, Feb. 7th and runs through Monday, Feb. 28th. Donations will be taken online throughout the month beginning Monday, Feb. 7.
Some classes are raising money for their favorite charity starting Monday, Feb. 7 and ending Thursday, Feb. 10th for Giving Hearts Day. All proceeds will stay right here in our local communities.
We are dressing up each day this week to spread joy and enjoy being part of our grade level and larger SGR school team. It’s fun to see everyone looking like they are 100 years old to celebrate the 100 day of school on Feb. 7th.
Thank you all for doing your part to spread kindness. Let’s watch for people showing kindness to themselves by taking good care of themselves so that they can spread kindness to others! We can spread kindness with our actions and by what we say to ourselves and others. Be kind and sprinkle that kindness everywhere you go! And don’t forget to say, “thank you” when you receive some act of kindness. Spreading kindness is a Win-Win!
