Principal Message

Dear SGR Families,

As you may have seen on your weather app, we are scheduled to get our first weather event of the season later this week. To maximize our instructional time, our school board has approved eLearning days for this school year. This will replace our typical “storm days” of the past and will keep students learning regardless of the weather conditions. We also have the option of late starts. If we have a late start, everything is delayed by 2 hours. Examples include bus pickup time (roughly 9:15, depending on your normal pick up time) and school start time (9:55 instead of 7:55).

To help you and your student prepare, here is a high level overview of the roles of students, teachers and parents/guardians on elearning days. Below are links to individual grade level plans that will be used district wide PreK-4th grade. We’ll send home paper copies with all students, but want everyone to have access online as well.

Kindergarten
First Grade
Second Grade
Third Grade
Fourth Grade

Thanks for helping your student be prepared in case we need to utilize this new format of learning. As weather decisions are made, we will notify you through email and SMS text if we need to utilize an eLearning, so please ensure your contact information is up to date.

Sincerely,

Mr. St. Louis and Mrs. Nagel, principals
