Dear S.G Reinertsen Families:

The Moorhead School District is excited to be able to provide breakfast and lunch at no cost to families for the 21-22 school year under the current USDA waivers in place. 

We still strongly encourage families to complete the Application for Education Benefits each year.

Benefits to School:

State funds help to pay for reduced-price school meals, so all students who are approved for either free or reduced-price school meals will receive school meals at no charge. State funds also help to pay for breakfasts for kindergarten students, so all participating kindergarten students receive breakfasts at no charge. Other benefits include but not limited to:

·        Funding for counseling services, social workers, media specialist and paraprofessionals

·        Title 1 Academic support

·        Funding for Technology & Internet Access

·        Lower Class Sizes

·        Preschool Scholarships

·        Before and After School Academic and Enrichment programs

·        Healthy and Nutritious meals

·        Resources for Classrooms, teachers and children

Applications can be completed online at 

https://meals.moorheadschools.org/SDMS2/Default.aspx  by creating an account and completing the application. Determinations are made immediately by using the online method. Paper applications are available at all schools and the District Office.
