Welcome to week 3! It looks like it’s going to be a mostly beautiful week for weather! If you’re in our walking boundaries, check the forecast and if it looks great, it’d be an awesome time for kids to walk, bike or scooter to school!
A couple of notes to start the week:
- Late Start: Wednesday is our first planned late start this year. We’ll start 2 hours late, just like snow day late starts. Doors unlock at 9:30, kids can grab breakfast on their way in, and we’ll start the day at 9:55. Again, exactly two hours late. The afternoon will NOT change, with dismissal still at 2:40
- Fire Drill: We’ll have our first fire drill this week on Monday morning, weather permitting. We have to do a minimum of five every year, so we’ll get great practice
- Brookdale Church: We continue to appreciate them being receptive to our families using their parking lot as an overflow for drop off and pick up. Please help us be great neighbors by using it responsibly and respectfully.
- District Committees: We’re looking for a second representative from SGR on our Instructional Curriculum and Advisory Committee. It’s one meeting per month on the second Thursday from 7-8 am in person at the Operations Center. If you’re interested in serving, please email us!
