If I asked you what the most popular chapter book series is at SGR what would you guess? Hands down it is the Dog Man series by Dav Pilkey. Kids absolutely love this series. Dog Man #10: Mothering Heights was just released March 23rd and it flew off the shelf.
In fact, students were down asking for it before it got to the shelf! Now, same question only think picture book series. Elephant and Piggie by Mo Willems has held the top spot at SGR for a very long time. Cats, dogs, and Pokemon grab the top nonfiction checkouts.
Whatever your child is choosing at the library, celebrate their choices! If you are wondering about summer reading, check back in May. I will share some ideas as well as my Top Ten Summer Reads for kids!
