Each year all public schools in the state of Minnesota give an assessment called the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) that measures student knowledge of the state standards. Last spring the state of Minnesota waived the state testing due to COVID, but this year testing will resume. This will allow school districts, the state education department, and the federal education department to understand the impacts that the pandemic has had on students and schools in regard to learning.
Testing for students in Grades 3-4 at SGR will begin the week of April 12, 2021. Additional information with tips for parents can be found in the link for families below. Please contact your child's teacher for specific dates and times.
