Moorhead Area Public Schools and Education Moorhead are pleased to share that mediation was successful and resulted in a tentative agreement on a two-year teacher contract for the 2025–27 school years.
The parties reached a tentative agreement on January 28, 2026, following 9.5 hours of mediation. The agreement reflects a collaborative effort to balance competitive compensation and benefits with the district’s long-term financial stability.
Both Moorhead Area Public Schools and Education Moorhead appreciate the professionalism, commitment, and good-faith efforts of their respective negotiation teams and the mediator throughout this process. Contract negotiations began in May 2025 and included nine bargaining sessions and 16 tentative agreements before mediation.
The tentative agreement is not final and is subject to ratification by members of Education Moorhead and approval by the Moorhead School Board. Additional details will be shared following ratification and board action.
