Principal Message

SGR Families,

Happy March! Based on the forecast, it seems like it could be an interesting day/week/month from a weather perspective. Please continue to watch your email/text messages as the district will continue communicating through those channels. In other notes:

  • Sledding Day: We were able to reschedule it for this Friday, March 10! Each class will get about 45 minutes at the park, with 2 or 3 classes arriving/leaving every 25 minutes or so. Remember, students CANNOT bring sleds on school buses, so if you’re going to send a sled with your child for that day, please drop them off at SGR and pick them up that day. Obviously, this means it will likely be a very busy day in our parking lots, so please be patient. We’ll transport all students to/from the park on buses, and all of the sleds in a van. If you choose to visit your child at the park, please be mindful of leaving space by the warming house for us to drop off and pick up those sleds. Also, as a school we have about a dozen sleds that will be at the park all day, so don’t feel like you need to go out and buy a new sled just for the day.

  • Conferences: Our first night of conferences is this Thursday, with the other two conference times next week. If you haven’t yet signed up for a conference time, please do so by Wednesday on PowerPTC in PowerSchool

  • Excel: There WILL be Excel this Tuesday, March 7, but then not again until after spring break on March 21. NO Excel on March 9, 14, or 16.

It should be another great week!

Mr. St. Louis and Mrs. Nagel, principals
