150th Anniversary Logo Commissioning

MAPS 150th Anniversary Logo

The MAPS 150th Anniversary Logo was created by Todd Radom, a renowned designer, sports branding expert, and writer. His work includes the official logos for Super Bowl XXXVIII, the 2009 NBA All-Star Game, the 2014, 2016, and 2018 MLB All-Star Games, the graphic identities of Target Field, multiple Major League Baseball teams—including the Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Angels—and league, team identity, and branding for Ice Cube’s BIG3 basketball league. Among the leading creators in the professional sports industry, his three decades of work have resulted in some of the most familiar icons of our popular culture.

The logo itself not only incorporates MAPS' distinctive orange, but also prominently features the mascot Spuddy—highlighting the unity of all Moorhead Schools exemplified by how every school shares the Spuds nickname.
