On January 4, MHS Students and Staff will move into Phase 1 of the new Moorhead High School! Moorhead Area Public Schools (MAPS) is giving the public its first look at the new athletic wing during the Gym Commissioning on Wednesday, December 27.
Following the 6:45 p.m. MHS boys basketball game, a brief farewell ceremony for the current MHS gym will be held. After that ceremony ends, everyone in attendance is invited to move to the new 3,000-seat competition gym as that space is commissioned.
This event will feature many former Spud coaches and athletes and remarks from legendary Voice of the Spuds, Larry Knutson.
Thursday, December 28, will see the first games played on the new court: Girls Basketball tips off at 6 p.m.; Boys Basketball will follow at 8 p.m.
