MHS BPA Team

Twelve students from Moorhead High School participated in the annual Minnesota Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference held March 5-7, 2026 at the Minneapolis Hyatt Regency with more than 1,200 members competing. Cole Eastman-Wright placed first in two events, Device Configuration and Troubleshooting and Server Administration on Using Microsoft. Cecilia Flood placed third in state in Basic Office Systems and Procedures.

This May, Cecilia Flood and Cole Eastman-Wright will compete with thousands of top students from across the United States at the 60th Annual National Leadership Conference, the pinnacle of BPA competition in Nashville, TN.

Advisor Leah Spotts said, “I couldn’t be more proud of our students and the way they represented our chapter at the BPA State Leadership Conference. Their hard work, dedication, and professionalism truly paid off, and I am so excited to celebrate that two of them will be advancing to Nationals! BPA provides incredible opportunities and experiences for students to practice and compete in real-world events that truly prepare them for the workforce and for life beyond Moorhead High School.”

Business Professionals of America is the leading Career and Technical Student Organization for high school students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information on technology and other related career fields. During the school year, over 2,000 Minnesota BPA members took part in the organization’s competitive events program, allowing them to compete in nearly 70 events focused in the areas of finance, business administration, management information systems, digital communication & design, and management, marketing & communication. The competitions are designed to prepare students to succeed and assess real-world business skills and problem solving abilities.
